While perusing Facebook today, I saw a video posted by Green Lake Jewelry works in Seattle. I know them because they designed my 25th anniversary ring, so I watched the video they posted and much to my delight- it is about how MY RING inspired someone to design one of their own!! What a fun thing-- MY ring is the First one- the all silver one= and someone has one with some gold swirls added to theirs -- so check it out!!

Valentine recap

What a lovely week we have had of Valentine festivities!! I had to share a few of these events! Last weekend, We had Brooklyn's 5th Birthday to celebrate. She is our Big teddy bear and the BEST dog - and it is our tradition to take the dogs to 3 Dog Bakery on their special day to pick out a PUP cake or a Pup tart ! The bakery has adorable treats and also Peanut butter ice cream -- so it's a wonderful celebration!

Jensen also spent the weekend getting her Valentines ready for her friends! After school on Valentines day, she arrived with all her loot and we proceeded to bake some cupcakes to deliver to our neighbors. Jen loves to bake and she is a great help in the kitchen. She may have to work for Cake Boss someday!!
After dinner on Valentine's day, we had a lovely Chocolate Fondue party and exchanged our family Valentines!

The day after Valentine's Day, we woke up to this!! The girls would rather be inside-- and the kids thought "Snow Day" but as usual, snow doesn't stay long here -- (I am so happy) and off they went to school!

Highlights!

This weekend was packed with several things= but had to share a highlight or two. Firstly - my dear Husband made me some awesome new shelves. I had seen this idea in a magazine- and Randy was able to re-create these shelves made out of vintage suitcases. They turned out sooo adorable.! They are such a fun idea! Next, we got a call from Frank Frost - who said we could pick up Ross' Senior Pictures. Perfect timing- because I was ready to hang them with my new shelves. I totally LOVE how his pictures came out! They very much show his personality and it will document how Ross was one of the Yearbook editors for his high school this year.

Another highlight was having Ross' friends over for dinner before Winterball. Ross had 16 friends come for a catered dinner- and they had an awesome time before going to their Dance.

Here are a few of his friends. We are having all kinds of "LASTS" and this is his last Winterball. Sounds like they had a great night- and lots of fun. All these memories!!!

Next, we got up early Sunday to leave for a quick trip for scholarship interviews in Abilene TX. Ross' sister Jocelyn goes to Abilene Christian U in Abilene and yesterday, Ross had his interviews for the Presidential scholarship. We drove all day Sunday and had dinner with Jocy and her housemates. It was so much fun to see their house and visit with them. The interview was on Monday, and mid=afternoon we headed back = so another 8 hours in the car. Whew!! quick trip!

I was happy when we drove in the driveway at 10:45 PM!

Whirlwind week with a GREAT ending!

Last week was busy busy with all the CHA preparations and getting all the projects mailed out in time for getting them to the show. I know all the new lines Teresa Collins designed will be a huge hit- and from the work I have seen-- everyone will be greatly inspired!!
I was knee deep in papers last week-- and when that ended-- I moved on to creating some wedding gifts. My husband and I were gone for the weekend to Phoenix to attend the wedding of MY dear friend's daughter. WE had an absolute ball- and what a Beautiful and wonderful wedding! I had to share the project I made for the bride and groom-

This large frame (not pictured straight on) is ready for them to add their favorite 8X10 photo from the photographer. I used Teresa Collins Mr. & Mrs. papers from a few years ago - and it turned out just wonderful. These papers are just gorgeous and very fancy.

I also want to share a photo of the AMAZING table centerpieces made by the Mother of the Bride. She made these stacked hat boxes and they looked so elegant on the tables with a candle on top. I love the papers on these boxes too!!

We all had a wonderful time -- and I had to share one of my photos of the Bride and groom with her parents-- who I have been friends with for about 17 years. It was just a beautiful weekend - and fun to see this little girl - who I knew for so many years to be getting married!!

Congrats to Megan and Steven and all the family!

Wow- I know that sometimes I go several days without posting -- and then there's a day like today where I have MORE exciting news!! I have been anticipating this one for quite a while!! Check out the Newest and Latest CRICUT magazine!!! Guess what you can find on page 42??? Yes--- that is my very own design and I am just thrilled they published it in my very favorite month to celebrate LOVE!
Many of you know my Maiden name was VALENTINE-- so it is so fitting to have my Valentine project published in the Valentine issue!! I loved using the
Teresa Collins "Sophisticated" cartridge and black flocked vinyl to decorate this red lunchbox!! Fill it with treats - and you are someone's Valentine!!!

Exercise Creativity

I am so happy we have dogs!! Our dogs are just so much fun-- and they give us alot of joy and Mostly I am thankful that we have them because they require exercise- and because of that--- WE get exercise. There are not too many days of the week that we don't take them for a walk, or to the park, or somewhere to burn off some steam. Piper (aka "The Redhead") is not quite 2 and wow-- she NEEDS a walk every single day (for sure)!! She is HYPER PIPER and this morning I found she had gotten out of her kennel by herself and was heading to the pantry to get herself some oatmeal when I found her. She is able to open the door of her kennel from the inside -- by who knows what method. I have to keep it clothes-pinned shut.

Anyway- Now to the real story--- I was a busy girl yesterday-- so since I had no time to walk dogs-- I decided to get CREATIVE with Piper's Exercise. Jensen loves to ride her scooter-- so I decided she could ride with Piper tied on - and the exercise thing would be handled!! It Worked! Jen scootered long enough to get Piper a little less HYPer!

Christmas BREAK Creativity

School is BACK in session today!!!! Yep - this cruise director is celebrating!! BUT I will say - it's so nice to have a 12 year old who loves to CREATE things like I do! We made tons of cool gifts, and treats this holiday season for friends and family -- BUT there was ONE special thing we wanted to make -- and it got saved until AFTER!! WE had seen these darling snowglobes on PINTEREST (our daily GO-to place for ideas) and we Just HAD to make them. We decided they are a great "Winter" gift!! Here's a layout I made with the pics from our GLITTER session! We have used alot of glitter and snow- and they are just darling!! 2011 was a very good year here, but let me tell you- I am always so jazzed to start a FRESH new year. Not sure what it is..... new journal... new goals.... holiday rush over.... or what- but I LOVE a new YEAR!!! January is a great time to start new things and that is exactly what I want to do!! MY ONE little word for this year (taking a BPS class with Ali Edwards) IS:
EXTRAordinary!! That is what I hope to be in 2012!!
We enjoyed so many blessings in 2011 - and we look forward to so many things coming in 2012!

2012 will be a big year for Ross- who is going to be graduating!! Can not believe that!! He did lots of work this week getting ready for a fantastic New Year's Eve Dance put on by the School's Cheerleaders. It was a benefit for "Meager Rations" the school's mission organization. They had a fantastic location donated to them to have their party and it turned out awesome!!
They raised lots of money for the cause and danced the night away under the twinkle lights! I am sure I will post some more dance decor photos later on this week.

Jensen and I went down to visit the location and I got some cute pics of her in her TERESA Collins Party hat I made for her!!! It was super easy to make with the "Sophisticated" cartridge and of course, some blingage!
I hope everyone had a safe and awesome celebration last night- and that you are excited to start 2012!!!
Should be a fantastic year!

Holidays were such a blessing

Hello friends-- today is my "Get Reorganized" day and I wanted to share some of our holiday happenings!

Friday was a very fun event we had at our house for our kids friends! This year we decided to do an "outreach" type of party and get all the kids friends to participate! We hosted a cookie and punch open house and asked each of the invited to bring supplies for the HOMELESS shelter here. WE had an overwhelming response and the day was so much fun to see everyone and celebrate together!
Jensen and Ava were in charge of packing the bags and they turned out to be over-flowing!!! It was a great problem to have to need larger bags! We even got to expand to add 12 more bags than originally planned!!

The van was packed full of toiletries, snacks, water, blankets, and etc.

We delivered all these goodies to the shelter on Christmas Eve. morning!
Such a blessing to Them -- AND US!!

Christmas eve was our traditional candlelight service at church and dinner out! DELICIOUS!! Then we open some family gifts at home!!!
The weekend was just a fantastic one-- and we all wish you a Happy and Healthy 2012!!~

Enjoying the Beauty of the Season

The season of Christmas has so much PRETTY in it!! I am really loving all the decorations and colors of this special time. We had the house all decked right after Thanksgiving- and it looks awesome- but this year we also added a little Bling to the Patio. The weather has been pretty nice until this week- but when it was just gorgeous outside- we hung lots of Christmas balls out there= and they look amazing!

If you are like me-- you are addicted to Pinterest--- and Yes, it is such a blessing in the holiday season to use it for ideas!! I am a huge copy cat - and this little goodie was the fun gift we handed out to Jen's friends at school. The Credit goes to nicoleheady.typepad.com. I saw this little cupcake gift set and HAD to have Jensen make them!

This is the version I saw on the website-- adorable.

Here's our Christmas version!!
First you wrap a cake mix with fancy paper. Then you make the insides that hold the adorable tubes of sprinkles=== and we made a tag on front with a Christmas wish.
Lastly we added a frosting that was wrapped to match and wala- you have this adorable gift.

Observations about these pictures!!!! What do I see that these photos have in common??? Well It's the holiday spirit I see-- I see lights, wreaths, and holly!!! I also see NO Coats, Parkas, gloves, boots or COLD!!!! That is why I love them sooo much!! Contrast that to what we see outside our house---- freezing cold snow (a little bit) and I can see my breath!

Folks--- I just like snow for ONE thing-- maybe a 10 minute photo shoot. Maybe just on Christmas eve. Snow is pretty when it is falling softly on the trees in the back yard for again 10 minutes. Other than that--- I'd rather see the ABOVE!!!

Thankful for: Travel

I feel super lucky to get to travel! It's one of my very favorite things-- and we got to be gone last week on the most Awesome trip! We had the privilege of sailing on the Disney Dream- and boy IT WAS!! This ship and the whole cruise was simply fabulous!! I am still sorting thru the 1200 photos I took! The day at the Atlantis was wonderful and the BEST is the Disney Private Island called Castaway Cay. Totally spoiled is what we are!!! I Am grateful for the relaxing and family fun we had!!

Well, this week away gave me even MORE to be thankful for!!! We had a lovely and delightful Cruise and vacation. What's not to love about a BUFFET 24 hours a day and ice cream any time???? WE all loved the trip-- and I promise to share some of my pics another time- but now I gotta put up a Birthday wish for my BESTEST Blessing!! Randy's birthday is today and I am soooo happy to have him in my life. I pray wonderful blessings for him today!! Thanks sweets for all you do for our family!!

I look so forward to Thursdays because it's our Pet Therapy Day!! Firstly I am such a lover of Old People-- and second I am such a lover of Dogs-- so the combination makes my heart Sing!! Brooklyn came to our family 4 years ago and she was Always such a Sensitive and Loving dog. She has a sense about people== and with her disposition, she makes an amazing Therapy Dog. Each week, I take her to a nursing home and we visit the residents. She has so many favorites, and they absolutely love her! She even knows which rooms have doggie treats in their drawers for her. These pics were taken of her wearing her Frog costume for Halloween -- and it shows her in action at the facility. She loves to plant her face in their laps when we tell her to give a "HUG". I am so thankful that I get to do this fun activity each week-- I certainly blesses me every time I go!

As we roll along in my "Attitude of Gratitude" month- I am reminded how blessed we are here in America. I know we take all this for granted, but each year when Operation Christmas Child comes around-- we are so Thankful to be able to share what we have with some Children across the world who need it so much more than we do. Our school always participates, as does our church, and we love to get to send some Shoeboxes! Yesterday was the BIG shopping trip and Jensen is a great helper!! She gets excited about this project each year, and now she is old enough to prepare the boxes for the kids. She made handmade Christmas cards, too to stuff along with the toys. Here is a photo of some of our shoeboxes-- she has more to do today- but it gives me great joy when I think of these kids opening our box -- and finding Christmas!!! Well, today's thankful thing could easily be the BEST one ever. I am so happy to have my husband as my partner, my best friend and my companion. God really blessed me with someone who totally knows me-- (and likes me anyway!) It has been incredible to be married for 28 years, and we are still having so much fun and enjoy it sooo much. We are truly blessed and thankful for our marriage!!

Halloween Is Here!!!

We had another amazing weekend of weather, so we took every opportunity to be out in it !! Jensen and I could not resist the Sale at Petsmart on Costumes for the dogs-- so we got them each a new one and did a little Halloween parade right in the front yard. WE love the results. Brooklyn was the most cooperative as usual and wore her frog hood for a long time. WE think we underestimated Piper's size-- she barely fit in the clown costume-- but it looked cute anyway. Pansy is our cheerleader -- funny -- she was not cheering to have it on!! Hope you have a fun and Happy (not creepy) Halloween!

This was a crazy and fun-filled week at HOPE. Homecoming is a HUGE thing at our school and the week is crammed with lots of spirit and tradition. We enjoyed this amazing coronation ceremony yesterday and here are the Highlights.

Today is a big day over here!!! Ross is 18! I am certainly not sure where the years have gone!! This photo is Ross at age 3-- where he was always making us laugh and had the ability to win people with his personality! I love this shot!

Flash forward to today! Here he is with his sissy -- and I am so proud of both of them. He has grown up to be an awesome 18 year old! We are blessed to see him making good choices and becoming an adult! Happy Birthday Ross- WE all love you!!!

This past weekend was a whirlwind with company in town for Balloon Fiesta! We have witnessed this event for 24 years, now, sometimes from home, sometimes from the field, etc. We kind of take it for granted. But when company comes, it is all fresh and new again watching them enjoy it for the first time!! There are not alot of words to describe the experience!! Such a beauty in the SKY! We had Perfect weather -- and enjoyed both the Mass Assension and Balloon Glow. WE had a ball. We had a whirlwind tour of Albuquerque shopping, and eating and also a wonderful day in Santa Fe by train. MY cousin, Jodi - who was my flower girl in my wedding 28 years ago, and my highschool friend, Kristi, who was also in the wedding, flew in Thursday to start off a wonderful weekend of catching up and lots to do!! Here are some of my favorite photos!

So a couple days ago on an outing with Piper (aka. the redheaded terror) I stumbled upon an amazing field of Sunflowers -- It was gorgeous! So -- what is a girl to do??? Photograph Jensen in it -of course! I packed up my white chair and her Orange very Fall-ish Hat and dressed her cute, and off we went. The first day produced these images-- which are fine- cute and all - but tonight - the lighting was even more perfect! You will have to wait until next week to see the results of today's shoot! Very fun!!

All I can say is SPOILED!! Thanks to all of you who remembered me yesterday and all the awesome wishes. I spent the day doing exactly what I wanted -- which is such a gift in itself! I feel so grateful and SPOILED!!! (some of you already knew that!) Thanks for everything!!

Just sharing some fabric projects I have been working on! These hanging sachets were very plain - but smelled good for hanging in the closet- so I doctored them up a bit with fabric and flowers! They are easy to make and will be a great gift!!!

Whew! Do the months fly by for you??? I think my days are packed with so many different things, that they fly by! The kids are now in school with a REGULAR schedule, and I am trying to get lots of projects complete. I always have a list- and will certainly share when they are done!! Jensen started a new sport this last week - so I got to get a few shots of her at Tennis. Hope has a mid-school tennis team- so she asked if she could try it! I think she is going to have alot of fun!!
I hope you enjoy this holiday weekend-- the official end of summer. I am always happy to head for Fall, my favorite season!!! Have a great weekend!

Fabulous Weekend

Well - I am back from my yearly trip to CREATIVE Escape and this LAST one was just as amazing as they all have been!! We learned so much from these awesome teachers and it was a blessing to see many familiar faces and enjoy these people again!! Here are the few photos I pulled from MANY MANY more! Wish I'd have been closer to Heidi Swapp when she spoke-- so this photo is a little dark-- but she is always amazing -- and She is the one who came up with the concept of CE and working with Bazzill Basics paper- they have pulled off an awesome event for the last 6 years. My roomie, LYN and I have been to EVERY one--so we definitely need to plan some get-together for next Aug.

My trip to CE usually starts with my chauffeur Debbie driving me to all our favorite shopping spots in Phoenix. Rust and Roses had this adorable camper all decked out in the back yard and we just had to pose by it -- I think the owner said it sleeps 3!!!

We made this gorgeous framed piece in Janet Hopkin's class - cannot wait to get it on the wall! She is such a creative genius and her projects knock your sox (bobbie sox) off! We saw lots of Bobbie sox and saddle shoes with the 50's theme this year. VERY cool!
I also got to spend time with another friend from California, Susan, who I had met last year-- sooo fun to see her at CE!!
It was just another amazing time-- and it is always hard to come back to reality when it is over. OUr last day is always a SPA day with Debbie- I am feeling very pampered and blessed!

Extreme HOME makeover: College Edition

Well, those of you who saw the Paris makeover we did the week before last in Jen's room know that I love to tackle a dingy wall with some fresh paint. This week, we had another HOME makeover in Jocelyn's college rental house. After getting the 2 young ones in school on Tuesday, (I have a midschooler and a senior now!)
Jocelyn and I hit the road for a trip to her college in Texas. 8 hours later-- we were ready for some fun!!! Here's the before:

She is so lucky to be moving into a home with 4 of the coolest girls - such a great bunch!!! They each have a bedroom and there are 2 baths and kitchen, laundry, dining room and living room. VERY darling older little house.. I love a BLANK pallet and you know I have lots of home decor items, so this was amazing fun for me! I brought a few contributions for Jocelyn's room and the rest of the house. The whole place has been freshly painted and it's adorable!!! Here are some photos of Jocelyn's New and improved room!!

This little house has such charm-- built in bookcases and old wood!!

We even added some great black touches to the cute PINK bathroom tile!! I had a great time- and we both love how this new place looks!! All ready for college to start next week!!

The kitchen is so pretty with the green paint and the chalkboard frames the girls added to send notes to one another!! SWEET!

I had this old window at home and decided they could use it in their living room. I think they will add some photos to it or art work-- So fun!

Sharing some of the India Journey

Here's some of my favorite pictures from Jocelyn and Randy's India trip. They did an awesome job of taking lots of photos to share the story of what happened with us! There are really tooo many to load on the blog- but just some of my favorites here. Randy tries to help out with medical checkups for the kids at the Haven school they visit.

I am not sure if this happens to YOU - but once School starts (which is very soon here), the months seem to fly by and it turns FALL and Halloween very quick!!! I am still in denial that Fall is going to be coming quicker than we think. I wanted to share a Halloween Project that I made with The Teresa Collins Haunted Hallows line which is available now after the Summer CHA show. This new line will knock your socks off! So many cute designs - and will be lots of fun for all the Halloween photos!

Extreme Home Makeover: Paris Edition

With Jocelyn and Dad away- we have been very busy little bees with a Room Makeover project. We NOW have a Pink and Black Paris Themed room for Jensen. She really needed the update due to the fact her "Princess" room was kinda baby-ish and she is afterall on the way to MID school in a couple weeks. She is quite a decorator -- and I am always a painting fool-- so together, we make quite a pair. Here are several photos from the re-do!

This little manequin was an old "Fairy" I bought a few years ago and had a green body, and spring flowers all over it. We took off the wings, and then did our "Black and Pink" thing!! LOVE it!

We used the Teresa Collins "Sophisticated" Cricut Cartridge to cut out
TREASURE from Black Flocked Vinyl Adhesive. I LOVE this font!!!!! It looks adorable!

These cupboards are built in on one wall, and they had been distressed white when Ross had this room with his Beach theme, but NOW we painted Chalkboard paint to a few doors and also some vinyl stickers -- Voila-- wonderful!!!

The Closet door has more Teresa Collins Font cut out of Black Flocked Adhesive-- Jensen thought of this idea-- since she thinks of FASHION when she thinks of Paris!

The nightstand is made of suitcases -- this idea stolen from Pinterest!!! (it is so addicting!) So fun!! Another little Teresa Collins element cut out and stuck on the white suitcase. I am loving this Sophisticated cartridge!

This wall has another cute vinyl that I acutally bought. Jensen came up with her cute sayings on the word board.
And now to my very favorite part of the room!!!!

We had this birdhouse desk that Randy had built years ago for Jocelyn, and it had been handed down to Jensen. It was Blue--- but we painted it black and changed out all the knobs. WE also found this PINK Ruffle dress in the Dressup box = and it makes an adorable chair cover!!! Added a broach and a sash and flower and it will be soooo cute sitting at the desk.
We had an absolute ball this week-- and now we need to go get the paint out from under our fingernails!!

ON Their WAY

My last post has a photo of Randy relaxing on the Beach in Florida and NOW he is headed out on another Adventure! With just enough days to do laundry, pack and work at his job 3 nights, he is HEADED out again!! This time, his traveling partner is not ME :( but I am very happy that Jocelyn, our oldest, is going with her dad on his mission to India. These two went to India together a few years ago when Jocelyn was in high school and now, she was thrilled when Dad asked if she wanted to go again. I was so happy he could take her along!! I am so thankful that Randy has shared his passion for missions with our kids, and they have been so blessed by his leading. I am at home with our other 2, with lots going on-- but so Excited to see what God has in store for them as they travel all the way across the world to bless the people in India.
We thank you for praying for them as they go and for safety and wonderful experiences!!

Back From Paradise

Randy and I are feeling so lucky to have had our time away at the Beach. It was wonderful that Randy's parents could come visit the kids so we can travel and enjoy our "Couple Time". It's our yearly tradition to travel in July to celebrate our anniversary- and our favorite place is always Florida! We had a completely relaxing time doing absolutely nothing!!

Here's a beach creature we found-- and he wasn't really glad to see us!

I also love to pretend to be a world traveler- by
visiting the World Showcase in WDW. We had such a terrific day at Epcot- and the beautiful scenery was so fun to capture.

Disney is expert in creating such gorgeous backdrops. We took this in Animal Kingdom's Asia. Another adorable sight was seeing this flamigo towering over the baby ducklings. I love these PINK birds-- but what a hoot to see those ducklings swimming under them like they were under a tree!!

NOW reality has set in-- and we are back home. I am not at all sure who will be cooking for me and cleaning my room! I sure will miss the maids at the hotel!!

You can certainly say Randy and I are spoiled!! We are having such an awesome vacation in Tampa. We have only had 2 beach days so far-- but wow- all we have to do is RELAX! We are total Florida fans -- these gorgeous white sand beaches chock full of shells have always been such a favorite. We never get tired of these days of sunshine and watching the waves roll in!! The Sidewalk ARTIST

We are awaiting the arrival of Grandpa and Grandma N. tomorrow- so for a welcome sign-- our Sidewalk Artist is hard at work on the back patio. Jensen loves to create beauty with CHalk-- so here is her latest creation! I think G & G will really love it!

On another note, I had to share the awesome pics I got of my sunflowers. Our front garden has sunflowers every year and this year, they are soooooo TALL! Really pretty!

There's nothing like a swimming pool when you are a doodle! Our Golden doodles - ( golden retriever, poodle mix) LOVE WATER!!! Since it is hot this summer and PIPER - our littlest doodle is taking baths in the WATER bowl, we decided to buy them a pool to splash in! It is such a hit!!! They are enjoying keeping cool and here's some of my favorite shots of their happiness!

We always look forward to the 4th of July because our neighborhood has a tradition of doing a Dessert party and fireworks. Since Alot of New Mexico has been on FIRE this year- we kept our fireworks to a minimum, but still had tons of fun with the neighbors and friends. Jensen got busy making "Sponge Balls" to hand out to the kids for a Water fight!! This was a big hit!

We love to have a Kids Bike parade and the kids enjoy decorating their bikes for the festivities. Jensen did her bike all by herself this year-- and she did a fantastic job!

June has flown by sooo fast and I have not had time to update the blog! So -- today I am sharing some of the highlights! We had so much fun at a friend's wedding a couple weeks ago. It was an absolutely gorgeous garden wedding - and so much fun to see Ethan and Anie marry. We have known this family for many years and now they are all grown up and marrying!! WOW! Such a beautiful bride!

Next-- We had a RARE opportunity to photograph a litter of 6 week old Lab puppies! A friend of mine knew Jensen would love to see them and play with them, so when her husband went to take a family photo of them, we were invited. Of course, I had to share some of my own shots.

Believe me, it was sheer pandamonium trying to line up 8 little labs for photos. We had at least 9 adults there-- wow- they totally wore us out. BUT the end result was this adorable photo we found the idea for on Pinterest.

Last week, Teresa Collins and Tombow had a blog swap and wow -- some awesome projects were shared! I got a chance to create some of the projects and one of them I made was a Friend book. I am sharing this today- with only a couple of the photos of my creating process (there were lots) . This will give you an idea on how to put a color pop with the Teresa Collins Notations line. It was the perfect paper to use the Tombow markers on since it has lots of cool elements on the pages.

Heartbreaker!

Yesterday, I got to play with a BABY boy!! I miss those days- especially when they are at this adorable age of 9 months and just plain Precious! This one is the grandson of my friend-- and we had so much fun! This guy will be a heartbreaker!! THOSE eyes!!! And why is it that Boys get those long and full eyelashes??? It's just not fair!

This week, in our weekly ARTSY time together being BRAVE girls-- my friend Peggy and I started a project
and I had to share it now that it is finished! This thing came out soooo much more fun than Peggy and I imagined= and we will both cherish them! I dug these huge clipboards out of the attic. I have a stash of clearance Items in there for "just the Perfect time" and this was it!! These clipboards measure: 18" wide X 20.
They were originally a magnet board covered with pink, brown, and green stripe fabric - and the cool thing is that there are 2 pockets at the bottom! I originally thought it would go to Jensen's bedroom for her to use the magnets to hang up assignments, and photos. BUT= Peggy and I decided a glossy black fabric would be a great background for us!! So -- armed with spray paint-- and gloves, of course, we headed outside. In 20 minutes they were transformed to these cool clipboards.

I wanted to use the Teresa Collins Notations line for mine- and I love love love the results. I used Blingage and even the tags from the Notations album kit in the pockets. I will likely write messages on these. The last thing we did was to make a digital WORD project- and I framed mine with the Large ornate frame that is on the Cricut Baby Boutique cartridge. I will hang it

on the outside of one pocket where those 2 little bling clips will hold it on! The best part is that this project is a magnet board- so lots of options to add photos, etc.!

OK!! I confess that now I have such an addiction to Pinterest, and it causes lots of wheels to turn in my head all the time. The inspiration and projects are amazing== and now I wish I never had to sleep -- so I could get all the inspirations Done and made! Thankfully, last week, Jen was home and she is such a crafter!! She likes a challenge and I had her help me with some awesome rag banners. They are lovely-- and she enjoyed making them. I have been making some lovely projects too! Jocelyn our college girl was home the last 2 weeks and will be moving in a house with 4 other girls later this summer. She has caught the "Canvas" bug that her mom has, and wanted to make each of them a gift for their new rooms. I was so excited to see what she would create--- LOVE the results!! AND in other news ..... look what arrived from UPS yesterday!! I found this little beauty on my Phoenix trip and it was SCREAMING my name!!! Thank Goodness we have a friend who ships!! It looks fantastic in our family room--- and it is SOOOOO me!!

Last week was crammed with lots of stuff going on for the kids at school- all the LASTS --- like parties, awards, Tests, etc. One of the highlights was the BIG REVEAL of Hope's yearbook. My son, Ross has been on the Yearbook staff this year and will be one of the editors next year-- but I had to share the awesome cover of the book here! Ross designed this cover - with a few tweeks from his TEAM -- and I just love it! Soooo cool!! The book is chock full of awesome memories of the year -- and they did a marvelous job!

Then -- I need to report on a fantastic time I had in Phoenix taking a Heidi Swapp class! I love an excuse to visit my friend Debbie there, so when Heidi was doing a class-- I signed up! We had a marvelous weekend - which also included friends Peggy and Lyn and lots of shopping, eating and even a wonderful day at the spa!! I felt totally spoiled. The album we made is just darling and we all had such a wonderful time!!

The other day when Jensen and I were taking our walk with the Dogs, we stopped by a bench in the park and I tied Brooklyn and Piper up to it so my hands could be free to take some pictures of Jen. We did some photos, and when I turned back around to un-do the dogs, This is what I see!!!! This dog keeps us laughing. She is VERY calm about it--- but I had to snap this photo! Thanks for the comedy relief Brooklyn!

One of the funniest memories I have of when Jensen was little was that she would say MUVER instead of Mother. MUVER is pronounced: Muh- VER. It was so cute-- and I think of it whenever Mother's day rolls around! So today-- I wish all of you muvers a Happy and Special day!! As I look out my kitchen window-- I see this Rose-- which is going gangbusters this year-- and I love the little Rock below that Says: Everything grows with LOVE! This week, Jensen turned 12!!! Since we were out of town for EASTER and her bday was Tuesday, we waited until this weekend to celebrate with her friends. The Radisson Hotel in Albuquerque just Built a new indoor WATERpark-- so this was the perfect spot for her party! She wanted a cupcake theme and I love to set up a party-- so we LOVED the results. The girls had a wonderful time!!!

Last night was a very exciting night as my husband, Jensen and I got to watch the Premier of Disney's new movie "Lemonade Mouth". We have been waiting since last summer when Ross got to be an extra for this movie to come out on Disney. Ross actually had an out of town Track meet, so he was not home for this Momentus occasion-- but we all watched and texted him whenever we saw him on the screen!!
We spotted him in several places. If you get a chance to watch it-- he is in the scene where they are walking thru the basement where all the "clubs" are -- and he is directly behind the stars walking down the hall--- he is in the Art club.. Then at the Halloween dance, the principal and the teacher are standing at a cauldron talking and he is behind them-- so when they move-- he is in plain sight!! At that point, he had his monster costume "head" off- so we saw his face!!! Ross enjoyed being able to see that Halloween dance music being filmed and even learning choreography for the one where the kids are all holding Lemonade. Lots of fun memories for Ross and such a great movie!!

"MY Core'dinations CREATIVE Frenzy"

I wanted to share some fun projects I have made this week with Core'dinations Core cardstock. I have done all kinds of textures, and sanding and embossing! It is so much fun to play around with all the possibilities. I used some elements from Teresa Collins as well and all of it blended so well together! This is amazing cardstock!!

Countdown to Friday!!

We are all Disney Fans over here-- and we are especially excited for THIS! Lemonade Mouth premiers on the Disney channel on Friday-- and we are hoping to catch a glimpse of Ross in it. Last summer-- Disney was filming this movie here in Albuquerque and Ross got to be an extra! He spent several days shooting alot of fun scenes and since he is a minor-- I had to go sit on-set along with lots of other moms while they were shooting. It was such a fun experience for him-- and he even got to be some scenes where the STARS performed their new songs which we are hearing on the Disney channel with the commercials about Lemonade Mouth. He had such fun-- and now it will be so much fun to watch since we were there and saw how they shot things. I hope he got in at least a couple shots and I am sure we will see lots of kids we know.

Mr. Baseball

When YOU think of Baseball --one man comes to mind! Just wanted to share this Sports edition II layout I made of my dad -- Mr. Baseball. He has been a White Sox fan forever and I know for sure that growing up, the first song I could sing was "Take me out to the Ballgame".. Actually, I thought the National Anthem was called "The Ballgame Song".

Addicted to Canvas and Paint!

Who knew I'd be so addicted to paint and canvas? I had so much fun taking the SHE Art workshop with Christy Tomlinson- and it has totally exploded into so much canvas art. I am coming up with new ones and I am thinking that Jensen's room will house these art pieces! They are so much fun and the possibilities are endless!!

WE are Spoiled!

We really are so spoiled in NM with our awesome weather. Spring
has definitely Sprung here, and Today, my hubby and I took the dogs
out for their daily walk and I brought along my camera to capture the
PERFECTION of the day. We saw this BEE very busy pollenating
in the park near our home and also thougth this Chalk writing on the
sidewalk was such a cute Mantra for PIPER. Just loved the trees in the Park-- and the Crystal blue sky!
Such a masterpiece!!!

A Fantastic Class and Project

I had to share these awesome projects we made in my Mouse, Paper, Scissors class taught by Jessica Sprague and Heidi Swapp! These two ladies knocked my socks off with several amazing projects during this class. I learned soooo much!! These are just 2 of the fun things we made! I am so excited about how they turned out! I am so thankful for the opportunity to learn from these experts!!

This Week, Peggy and I finished some of our SHE ART girlz!!! I have a few done- but this one turned out to be my favorite. We learned so much and we had so much fun that we are now addicted and probably will have a room full of girlz very soon!!!
